Frequently asked questions

Which Bible translations are supported?

Public-domain and openly-licensed translations are quoted directly inside studies: KJV, BSB (Berean Standard Bible), WEB (World English Bible), and a few others. For copyright-restricted translations like ESV, NIV, NASB, NKJV, NRSV, NLT, CSB, AMP, and The Message, the app gives full study commentary using your chosen translation as the reference point and shows the verse address (for example, "Philippians 4:4–7 (ESV)") so you can open it in your own Bible. We do this in respect of the translations' copyright holders.

Which Christian traditions does Custom Devotion write from?

Reformed, Baptist, Reformed Baptist, Presbyterian (PCA / EPC / OPC), Methodist (Global Methodist / Free Methodist), Lutheran (LCMS / WELS), Non-denominational, Evangelical Free, Wesleyan, Holiness, and Plymouth Brethren.

If you'd like us to consider adding another tradition that stands within historic, conservative Protestantism, please email us.

Why did Custom Devotion refuse my request?

Custom Devotion writes from a specific theological frame and will gently decline requests that sit outside that frame — for example, a request for a study aligned with a tradition we don't currently cover, or for a topic the meta-prompt judges to be outside historic Protestant orthodoxy. The refusal isn't an error; it's by design, so the app doesn't pretend to speak for traditions it can't faithfully represent. You'll see a short pastoral note explaining what it can do instead.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone: Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Custom Devotion → Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You can also cancel before your 14-day free trial ends without being charged.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds for App Store subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by us. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and select Custom Devotion to request a refund. We don't have visibility into your purchase, so we can't refund you directly — but Apple usually responds within a few days.

How do I export or share a study?

Open any saved study from your Library and tap the Share icon in the top-right. The app renders the study as a PDF and hands it to the iOS share sheet, so you can print it, email it to yourself, save it to Files, AirDrop it to a laptop, or send it to a small group. The PDF is laid out as a clean printable handout — designed to look like something you'd hand out at a Bible study, not a screenshot.

How do I delete my data?

All of your data — saved defaults, generated studies, presets — lives on your phone, not on our servers. To delete everything, delete the app from your iPhone. iOS removes the app's storage when you do.

I found a bug, or I have an idea for the app.

Please tell us. Email info@nextfrontierbuilders.com with what happened (or what you'd love to see). We genuinely read every message — Custom Devotion is being built by a small team and your feedback shapes what gets built next.
